Tesla is well and truly the world’s most valuable car company after being valued at over $US1 trillion ($AU1.4 trillion). This puts it in the same league as familiar tech brands Facebook, Amazon, Apple, and Alphabet (Google).
The valuation comes after car rental giant Hertz ordered 100,000 Tesla Model 3 sedans. This means that the model 3 now comprises 20% of the car rental companies global fleet.
The order is expected to begin being fulfilled later this year throughout Europe and USA.
