You can salary package your rent payments for the home you are living in, in a designated remote area where it is rented through either a real estate agent or private rental.
Package Requirements
- 50% of your Rental payments will be added to your package for the fringe benefits tax (FBT) year
- The lease arrangement does not have to be solely in your own name
- Rental payments can be paid directly to your landlord or real estate agent
