Toyota's reputation for reliability, performance, and innovation has made it a favorite across the country! The Toyota Hilux has claimed the top spot of Australia's best-selling car for years!

However, the high demand and slower production times during the pandemic led to significant wait times for some of Toyota’s most sought-after models.

But there’s good news on the horizon!

Toyota Australia has recently announced a significant reduction in wait times for new orders, bringing relief to eager customers.

Here's the latest update on the delivery wait times for some of Toyota’s most popular models:

Toyota RAV4

The Toyota RAV4 has been one of Australia’s most in-demand vehicles. During it's peak, wait times for this popular SUV stretched to over three years!

Fortunately, the situation has dramatically improved. New orders for the 2024 Toyota RAV4 now have a lead time of just four months

This reduction is a result of increased supply from Japan, which also led to a record month in April, with 5,857 RAV4s delivered to Australian's – the best single month ever for this model.

Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux, the number one favourite car for Australians, peaked at 12 months.

Toyota Australia has slashed these wait times, and new Hilux orders are now expected to be fulfilled within four months.

We recommend to put your order in now to have your new car by the new year!

Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series

The LandCruiser 300 Series, which saw wait times exceeding 12 months when it was first released, now boasts a much-improved delivery time. You can expect their new LandCruiser within six months of placing an order.

Toyota C-HR

For those looking at the new-generation C-HR small SUV, the wait is even shorter.

New orders are expected to take approximately three months to be fulfilled.

Toyota Corolla and Yaris Cross

The Toyota Corolla and Yaris Cross models have experienced some of the most significant reductions in wait times. Depending on the specification, new orders for these models will take between five to six months to arrive.

Toyota Kluger

The Toyota Kluger, known for its spaciousness and family-friendly features, still has a slightly longer wait time.

New orders for the Kluger will take between seven to eight months to be delivered.

Overcoming Pandemic-Related Delays

The pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to the automotive industry, with production delays and supply chain disruptions affecting the availability of new vehicles.

Toyota Australia’s recent sales figures for the first half of 2024 are a testament to the brand’s resilience and ability to meet customer demands.

The reduction in wait times is a clear indicator that Toyota has not only bounced back but is also poised to continue leading the market with its innovative and reliable vehicles!
