A fully electric ute is finally here and it qualifies for the Electric Car Discount. 

As of 1 December, the KGM Musso EV is on sale in Australia. Drivers have been waiting for an electric ute that can two, carry real loads and stay eligible for tax savings. Starting from $60,000 before on road costs, it has arrived at the right time.

Built for Everyday Use

The Musso EV combines a rugged ute stance with a clean EV front end featuring LED lighting and a sculptured bonnet. The tub is practical with a liner, eight tie down points, corner steps and lighting for loading after dark.

Inside, it feels more like an SUV. Two 12.3 inch displays power the Athena 2.0 system, with heated and ventilated seats, ambient lighting and generous rear passenger space.

The 80.6 kWh battery supports two variants.

2WD


AWD

Fast charging from 20 to 80 percent takes about 31 minutes on a compatible DC charger. Vehicle to Load capability lets you power tools or camping gear directly from the car. 

It tows 1,800kg braked and offers payloads of 905 kg (2WD) and 805 kg (AWD). Self levelling rear suspension helps keep the vehicle stable under heavy loads.

Tech and Safety

Adaptive cruise control, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, a 3D 360 degree camera, wireless charging and dual zone climate control all come standard. Every variant includes eight airbags and key safety features such as AED, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning and trailer stability assist.


Eligible for the Electric Car Discount

Because it is fully electric and below the luxury thresholds, the Musso EV qualifies for the Electric Car Discount. This gives employees the chance to salary package it without paying Fringe Benefits Tax. 

On a novated lease, the KGM Musso EV 2WD is available from $153 per week plus running costs. With pre-tax benefits and bundled expenses, it becomes a cost-effective way to drive Australia's first fully electric ute.
